Nothing really inspired this, I just wanted to use those
pictures of Maddy and it turned out pretty well, I think!
Well... I mean, I can see now that it's not perfect, but it's a
pretty good first try. ;) |

DIE ANOTHER DAY VIDEO

| I love the grittiness of the DAD video and the tension of the song,
so I wanted to echo that in this Add Effects blend. What looks like
a coffee stain on the blend was actually supposed to look a bit like
the tunnel thing you see James Bond through at the beginning of
every Bond film (DAD was for the most recent Bond film, BTW!) - but
it really just looks like a coffee cup stain... ;) |

| I'd finally heard Has To Be, a rather hard-to-find M song, and
created this blend with that in mind. Doesn't really illustrate the
song, but it inspired me to create this. ;) |

'NAUGHTY & NICE' PT. 1

| I finished this blend last, and am quite happy with how it turned
out. When I saw the pictures to be used for the blend, I immediately
thought of using the lyrics to the song 'Secret Garden', and
designed the blend around the colors and imagery that comes to my
mind when I listen to that song. :) I had a bit of trouble making
this one, partly because the photos were difficult to put together,
and also because I just don't really like this photoshoot - Madonna
looks way too innocent! :O |

| I was feeling down when I created this blend as
well, and the first thing to come to mind when starting this
blend was "Make it dark.". Even though Rain is a gorgeous and
bright song/video, and certainly the lyrics are romantic,
there's always a way to make something romantic sad... |

| I LOVE Bedtime Story (the song and video) and wanted to create a
blend that matches my love for them, and I think I did. There were
so many images to choose from, and so many themes, as seen in the
video. I was feeling pretty miserable when I made this blend, so I
channeled that feeling of "don't function anymore" and "how can I
explain how I feel?", which I was feeling at the time, into the
blend... I think I did a pretty good job of that... |

| The photos from this shoot are really lovely, and the contrast of
the red lips against the blue lighting is stunning. I just
wanted to emphasize the glamour of the photos. The line "Just
let the music set you free" from "Into the Groove" seemed fitting
for some reason - I suppose I could've gone with a line from
"Material Girl", but that would've just been horrifically clichéd!

| To my dying day, this will be my favorite blend
ever. I love the Frozen video & song and was determined to
create a blend worthy of the greatness that is Frozen. I went
through a few designs but by chance came up with this one, and
was pleased as punch with how it turned out. :D |

| My first colorized image! It's tricky as the dickens for me to
colorize images - they always turn out looking funny - but this
turned out really well. I didn't want to use vivid colors, I wanted
it to be a bit muted, so that it looked kind of like a photo of an
old movie star. |

| I love the Paradise (Not For Me) video & song, and wanted to create
a blend that mimicked the disjointed, desperate feeling of the song.

'NAUGHTY & NICE' PT. 2

| This challenge, like 'Naughty & Nice' Pt. 1, gave me a bit of
trouble. I love the photos from this shoot, but couldn't figure out
how to make them come together in a blend. I colorized the main
Madonna in the picture (the standing one), and cropped her out of
the original photo and put her against a background of autumn leaves
- I'm kind of proud of how it turned out! :D |

| Ooh, it's naughty, isn't it? ;) Actually, considering the
ultra-naughty pictures I had to choose from, it's kind of amazing
that I was able to make a blend without any rude bits showing. I
didn't want to make an explicit blend, just one that (hopefully)
evokes the feeling of the Erotica era. I'm pleased with how it
turned out! |

| Ah, Take a Bow! It's such a lovely song, and the video is beautiful.
My idea was pretty simple - give it a bit of an old-fashioned,
sepia-toned look. :) |

BEDTIME STORY SINGLE COVER {SPECIAL} (gold) |
| All right!!! Single cover redesign special - now *that's* a
challenge I can really get into. I LOVE making fake covers, and I
love Bedtime Story - this challenge was right up my alley. I didn't
want to go the "dreamy" blend route - I wanted something stark,
black and white, something unique - a visual that sticks with you.
The video is full of interesting visuals, and the Bedtime Story era
has so many great photoshoots, so it was hard to choose one or two
images out of the lot to represent the video/song - the two I used
just jumped out at me. It's a cool part in the vid too! I used the
same font that was used on the original single cover, because I
thought it really suited the "look". All in all, I'm quite pleased
with it! |

| Funny enough, my fave video isn't Rain, but I
do like it and after trying with no success to create a blend
using Nothing Really Matters screencaps (I still would have
rather created a super blend with NRM, but ah well), I decided
on Rain, because I think Madonna's so pretty in it and there are
lots of great close-ups. |

was the first blend I did for Season 5, and the sad feeling of the
blend (well, I think it has a sad feeling, at least!) came from the
helplessness/hopelessness I was feeling at the time, as my OCD was
at a particularly rough point. I'm very proud of this blend, because
I was able to channel my unhappiness into something beautiful. :) |
