Rowan Atkinson Born : 6 January 1955
Other interesting stuff: Got his start in Not the Nine O'Clock News, a hit spoof variety type show. Star of Mr Bean, The Thin Blue Line, and appeared as the ninth Doctor in the Comic Relief spoof Dr Who and the Curse of Fatal Death. Known for his ability to keep his private life private. Loves auto racing. Married with two children.

Tony Robinson Born : 15 August 1946
Other interesting stuff: Played Sheriff of Nottingham in Maid Marian and her Merry Men. Currently hosting archaeological program Time Team. Has written 16 children's books. Acted since he was 12. Loves archaeology (nifty!). Is very involved in politics. Married with two children.

Tim McInnerny Born : 18 September 1956
Other interesting stuff: Graduated from Oxford (as did Rowan Atkinson and Tony Robinson; Hugh Laurie and Stephen Fry graduated from Cambridge). Has acted on stage numerous times, even played Frank 'n' Furter in Rocky Horror Picture Show. Has appeared in 102 Dalmatians, and the huge hit Notting Hill.  He would love to play a Bond baddie someday...

Other interesting stuff: Played the Fry bit in A Bit of Fry & Laurie with Hugh Laurie. Has written many books and scripts. Starred in Peter's Friends with Laurie, Emma Thompson, Kenneth Brannagh, and Imelda Staunton. Played title role in Wilde. Played Jeeves to Hugh Laurie's Wooster in Jeeves & Wooster. Is 6'4" tall (wow!). Loves cricket, automobiles (is this becoming a running hobby?), and computers (yay!).

miranda Richardson Born : 3 March 1958
Other interesting stuff: Gained critical acclaim in the film Dance with a Stranger. More fame followed with A Dance to the Music of Time, Merlin, and Alice in Wonderland. Has appeared on episodes of Alas Smith and Jones and Absolutely Fabulous. Also did a voice-over for Chicken Run and played Lady van Tassel in the (scary!) movie Sleepy Hollow. Starred in film version of Phantom Of The Opera.

Rik Mayall Born : 7 March 1958
Other interesting stuff: Graduated from Manchester University, where he met his comedy partner, Adrian Edmondson (the Baron von Richthoven in Series 4 - Private Plane).  He co-wrote and starred (along with Blackadder alums Edmondson and Nigel Planer, and Christopher Ryan), with Ben Elton and Lise Meyer, the cult TV show The Young Ones.  Since then, Mayall has been seen as the premier alternative comedian, and has appeared in many films and television shows, including Bottom and The New Statesman.

Helen Atkinson-Wood Born : 14 March 1955
Other interesting stuff: Helen Atkinson-Wood (no relation to Rowan Atkinson) is a talented character actress and television host/presenter, most recently on cooking/food programs.  She has appeared on The Young Ones, KYTV, and Style Trial, among many other TV shows.

Brian Blessed Born : 9 October 1937
Other interesting stuff: Once you hear Brian Blessed, you don't forget him - that's why he was once given the title of "loudest man alive"!  Blessed is a talented actor who has worked extensively in film, theatre, and television.  He's also written several books, and climbs mountains in his spare time!  Some of the many roles he's played are Hastings, Old Deuteronomy, Long John Silver, and Prince Vultan.  His most recent film is Alexander.
