No, really, you should. It's such a fantastically camp, cool song. And the video! *loves*

I happened upon a Spanish DVD import of Greatest Flix II at the video store today, and as soon as I spotted I'm Going Slightly Mad (as well as other vids I don't have) on the track list, I had to have it, as I am a rabid Queen fan and all ;) . Plus, the song is one of my favorites.

So I finally got to see it (after having wondering how in the world I'd ever get to see it because it's not on GVH2), and I just love it. It's slightly scary the first few moments - I've never seen a Queen video so crisp and clear and... creepy. Then you get into it, and you love it. Freddie Mercury is absolutely brilliant in it and I *demand* to have a banana hat. I *need* a banana hat!!

Anyways... yes, it's quite a nifty video, and now ranks up there in my top 5 favorite vids. No, I don't actually keep a list, but, you know, it's a sort of figure of speech. Or something. Besides, I don't think anyone would care about my top 5 fave vids. Which means that I shall probably, in the future, write a lengthy post about my top 5 faves. ;)

OK, I'm not done about the video. Sorry, just bear with me. :)

Whoops, sorry, just got sidetracked thinking about what it would be like to have a banana hat. :) It would be so cool to wear around and freak people out! "She's got bananas on her head!" they'd say, and I'd cooly say "Indeed I do." Yep. ;)

Right, back to the video. Certainly, it's the best of the Innuendo vids (I've seen Headlong [which is cool in its own right, but come on - no banana hat!], Innuendo, and The Show Must Go On; there may be another one or two that I've not seen) that I've seen.

Just so you know, I have absolutely no idea why I've gone on a rant about the video. I usually don't go on like this, but golly, it's brilliant! :D

So, that was the high point of my day. Obviously. :)
