Misheard Lyrics
No, this isn't one of those extensive collections of misheard lyrics out there. These are lyrics I've misheard. :) Maybe someone else has already misheard these, I don't know. Anyhow, I'm going to list some of the ones that when I realized my mistake, I cracked up. :)
Kylie's

Lyric: "Will laughter find a way around these silent tears"
What I Heard: "I'll have to find a way around insanity"*
*Actually, what I heard would still fit in with the song - quite well,
actually; I wonder if Kylie considered that lyric instead? No?
Well, I can wonder. :) And this didn't really make me crack up at the
difference, it just cracked me up that I had found what I thought I had
heard to be a terribly nifty, deep lyric.
Some Kind of Bliss
Lyric: "Slip into stillness and be above it all"
What I Heard: "Slip into stillness and bugger all"
Limbo
Lyric: "I'm killing time"
What I Heard: "I'm getting tired"**
**Again, this would have fit too, that's why I was surprised when I
finally consulted the liner notes and found I was getting the wrong lyrics
stuck in my head...
Kylie's Kylie Minogue (1994):

Lyric: "No manual control, it's automatic...oh oh oh"
What I Heard: "No man you ooh troll, it's automatic...oh oh oh"
Kylie's Light Years:

What I Heard: "You can't just up and leave me, I'm a cigger in the
bend"***
***And no, I have no idea what a "cigger" is. That's just what it
sounds like to me (though now I can actually hear "singer" being sung)! :)
Dannii's Neon Nights:

Lyric: "Cast your spell"
What I Heard: "Can't spell"†
†You see, "can't spell" has absolutely nothing to do with the song.
So when I looked at the liner notes, I went, "Oohh, so that's what
she's saying!"

What I Heard: "Just for the record, I'm uh huh hoo hee hoo"††
††No really, that's what I hear every time I listen to the song!

Queen's A Day At The Races:

Lyric: "Got no feel, I got no rhythm, I just keep losing my

What I Heard: "Got no feel, I got no rhythm, I just keep losing my
beans..."~
~ I know, obviously, that he's not saying "beans", it just sounds that way
if I'm half-listening to the song - you know, I'll be working on a website
and have my headphones on and Somebody to Love will play and I'll just
hear "beans".
