BASIC INFO

This site is dedicated to Peter Cook. Obviously. :) It was launched on December 27 2005, and is run by me, Scarlett. The images in the gallery are screen captured and scanned by me, unless otherwise noted, and I encourage you to use them on your own website. A bit o' credit in the form of a link would be nice, of course! All other original content here on the site is created by me, but I welcome any and all contributions!!

MY FANNISH STORY

I first saw Peter Cook in the episode 'The Foretelling' of The Black Adder back when I was 12. Years later, in 2004, I caught Bedazzled on PBS. I knew a little bit (read: almost nothing) about Cook and Dudley Moore and their fame in the UK, let alone about Cook's legendary status in the comedy world, so seeing Bedazzled was an eye-opener! I considered myself enlightened and went about finding out more about them, which led me to finding out more about Peter Cook. I was drawn to his fantastic tales of twigs hovering and birds flying underwater and after I read Tragically I Was An Only Twin, I was a fan for life.  As I have living-in-the-US-syndrome, I don't have a great deal of his work, but then, unfortunately, not enough still exists.

WHY THIS WEBSITE?

My small hope in making this site is to simply entertain fans of Cook's.  My big hope is to amass a pretty large collection of pictures in the gallery. There aren't many photos of him online, and I think we can all agree that this is a crying shame - he ain't too bad to look at, you know. I'm trying my darndest to fix that. :)

I also thought that he should have a fanlisting - everything and it's grandmother has a fanlisting, so why not someone truly deserving?
